Political Conventions

Welcome to DemConvention.com – get comfortable and stay a while!

We at the DNCC are in the final stages of preparing for the 2008 Democratic National Convention, an event that promises to be an engaging celebration of the strength of our nominee, Senator Barack Obama, and the Democratic Party – the diversity we embrace, the values we share and our vision for America.

Starting August 25th, the eyes of the world will be upon our Party right here in Denver. With the spectacular Rocky Mountain West as our backdrop, I’m confident we’ll put forward an outstanding Convention that will help put Senator Obama on the path to victory in November.

When our gavel drops – and in the weeks leading up to that historic moment – DemConvention.com will be your all-access pass to this Convention. So bookmark it as a favorite, and as you take a look around, make sure to sign up to receive regular updates from us on Convention events and other news. There's no easier way to get involved and stay connected than the Democratic National Convention straight to your inbox.

Thanks for visiting us – and keep checking back at DemConvention.com for up-to-the-minute updates, videos and more. This is a Convention you won’t want to miss.

Sincerely,

Leah D. Daughtry
CEO Democratic National Convention Committee

A MESSAGE FROM CONVENTION PRESIDENT AND CEO MARIA CINO

In just a matter of days, the Republican Party will again make history as we come together in Minneapolis-Saint Paul, where the eyes of the world will focus on Senator John McCain, his strong message of leadership, and his vision for America’s future. It will be a celebration of the values we hold dear: a safe and secure nation; a nation where the government is accountable to the people and not the other way around; a nation with boundless opportunity; and a nation which respects the dignity of life.

As we prepare to welcome the world to our party’s 39th nominating convention, we are certain that it will be our best ever. We look forward to welcoming an anticipated 45,000 guests to the four-day event at which we will recommit ourselves to the principles of our party with an energy and excitement that will launch Senator John McCain on his path to the White House.

The convention will showcase the unity and momentum of the Republican Party, as well as the vitality of the host cities. Visitors to Minneapolis-Saint Paul will experience the vibrant communities, exceptional cultural institutions, outstanding hotels and event venues, natural beauty, and fantastic quality of life that make these cities world-class destinations.

Moving forward, I invite you to continue visiting
www.GOPConvention2008.com for the latest news and information. When the gavel falls on September 1, our website will also be the place for all-access coverage.

Thank you for visiting. We look forward to welcoming you, whether online or in-person, to Minneapolis-Saint Paul for the 2008 Republican National Convention.

Maria Cino
Convention President & CEO
